EASA Part 66 Examination

Programme Overview

The EASA Part 66 examination is essential for individuals pursuing careers as aircraft maintenance engineers or technicians in Europe. It consists of multiple modules categorized by aircraft maintenance topics such as airframe, avionics, propulsion, and regulations. Candidates must pass modules relevant to their chosen category and subcategory of aircraft to obtain their EASA Part 66 license, enabling them to work on EASA-regulated aircraft within their specified category.

ALS provides computer based EASA Part 66 Examination (A1, B1.1, B1.3, B2 & B2L) under the approval of aircraft maintenance college(AMC66) ref: NL. 147.7366

1. Mathematics

Category A: 16 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 20 minutes. Category B1: 32 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 40 minutes. Category B2: 32 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 40 minutes.

2. Physics

Category A: 32 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 40 minutes. Category B1: 52 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 65 minutes. Category B2: 52 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 65 minutes.

3. Electrical Fundamentals

Category A: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes. Category B1: 52 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 65 minutes. Category B2: 52 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 65 minutes.

4. Electronic Fundamentals

Category B1: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes. Category B2: 40 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 50 minutes.

5. Digital Techniques, Electronic Instrument Systems

Category A: 16 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 20 minutes.

Category B1.1 and B1.3: 40 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 50 minutes. Category B2: 72 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 90 minutes.

6. Materials and Hardware

Category A: 52 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 65 minutes. Category B1: 72 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 90 minutes. Category B2: 60 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 75 minutes.

7A. Maintenance Practices

Category A: 72 multi-choice and 2 essay questions, 90 minutes plus 40 minutes.

Category B1: 80 multi-choice and 2 essay questions, 100 minutes plus 40 minutes.

Category B2: 60 multi-choice and 2 essay questions, 75 minutes plus 40 minute

8. Basic Aerodynamics

Category A: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes. 6

Category B1: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes. Category B2: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes.

9A. Human Factors

Category A: 20 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 25 minutes plus 20 minutes.

Category B1: 20 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 25 minutes plus 20 minutes.

Category B2: 20 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 25 minutes plus 20 minutes.

10. Aviation Legislation

Category A: 32 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 40 minutes plus 20 minutes.

Category B1: 40 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 50 minutes plus 20 minutes.

Category B2: 40 multi-choice and 1 essay question, 50 minutes plus 20 minutes.

11A. Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems

Category A: 108 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 135 minutes. Category B1: 140 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 175 minutes.

11B. Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems

Category A: 72 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 90 minutes. Category B1: 100 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 125 minutes.

12. Helicopter Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems

Category A: 100 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 125 minutes. Category B1.3: 128 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 160 minutes.

13. Aircraft Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems

Category B2: 180 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 225 minutes.

Questions and time allowed may be split into two examinations as appropriate.

14. Propulsion

Category B2: 24 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 30 minutes.

15. Gas Turbine Engine

Category A: 60 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 75 minutes. Category B1: 92 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 115 minutes.

17A. Propeller

Category A: 20 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 25 minutes. Category B1: 32 multi-choice and 0 essay questions, 40 minutes.

  1. A min number of at least 30 exam papers should be registered prior to be conducted in third party location
  2. All cost (travel, accomodation & per diem) for the invigilator/instructor should be borne by third party company

1. For module 12, 13, 14 short classes training shall be conducted upon request.

2. All the classes will be held either by classroom training or online basis.

3. Weekend & night classes can be arranged upon request.

4. All prices above quoted in RINGGIT MALAYSIA (RM) per person.

5. Class bookings are based on first come first serve basis due to limited seats capacity. 6. Min of 5 pax per class to be fulfilled. 7. Short classes training is 100% based on notes and quizzes practice.

Phase 1:

  • Drafting of contract to include all points of partnership including payment terms and conditions
  • Meeting between ATC & your organization to discuss terms of partnership agreement

Phase 2:

  • Based on partnership agreement, ATC will customize manpower strength and ensure the availability of sufficient training equipment
  • Customization of training plan & materials to suit the requirements of Your organization will be developed by ATC

Phase 3:

  • ATC will carry out the examination plan accordingly as per the schedule and within the procedure proposed
  • ATC will ensure to provide the ideal and suitable plan for your organization
